A Kenyan tender needs a KEBS certificate issued before the goods sail; a Nigerian one needs a Form M opened before that certificate can even be raised; an Ethiopian one is usually written under a development bank’s procurement manual rather than domestic rules; a Brazilian one is evaluated in Portuguese.

Conformity certification is pre-shipment almost everywhere. PVoC and SABER-type regimes require a certificate issued in the country of export. Goods that reach port without one face destination inspection, penalties and delay, and destination testing on a mixed laboratory consignment is slow because every category is assessed separately.
The electrical supply is a manufacturing input, not a shipping detail. Voltage, frequency, phase and plug type go on the order and equipment is built to them.
Spares ship with the main consignment. Sending them later means a second freight charge, a second customs clearance and a laboratory idle in between.
Landlocked destinations need the inland leg priced. For Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan the haulage from port is often a larger share of delivered cost than the sea freight.
Packing lists need weights and volumes per crate. Gross, net and volumetric dimensions are what a clearing agent works from, and most quotations omit them.
Documentation language decides some bids. A technically compliant quotation submitted only in English is frequently marked down in Latin American and francophone African tenders.

A consignment arriving without valid certification is held at port at the buyer's cost.
Yes. State the voltage, frequency, phase and plug type at the installation site on the order and equipment is manufactured to that supply, confirmed before production rather than adapted after shipment. A 415 V three-phase rig delivered to a 220 V single-phase laboratory cannot be used.
Instruments are packed in shock-absorbing inner cartons, moisture-sealed, then consolidated on heat-treated pallets inside seaworthy wooden crates. Packing list states gross and net weights and volumetric dimensions per crate, which is what a clearing agent needs and what most quotations omit.
