The Triaxial Cell is designed for accurate laboratory testing of 38 mm diameter × 76 mm height soil specimens in accordance with standard geotechnical testing procedures. Constructed with a transparent Perspex chamber, the cell provides excellent visibility during testing while ensuring reliable performance for determining the engineering properties of soils under controlled stress conditions.
The chamber can be quickly opened by loosening the four tie-rod nuts, allowing convenient specimen installation and maintenance. The leak-proof design withstands fluid pressures up to 10 kg/cm², ensuring safe and dependable operation throughout the testing process.
An integrated oil filling plug also functions as an air vent, allowing a thin layer of oil to be introduced above the water. This arrangement provides effective sealing around the loading plunger, making the system particularly suitable for long-duration triaxial tests.
The base of the cell is equipped with four sleeve-packed, zero-volume-change valves for precise control of cell pressure, pore water pressure, drainage, and back pressure. A loading plunger with a dial gauge mounting arrangement enables accurate measurement of specimen deformation during testing.
