JET PUMP TEST SETUP
The Set-up is designed to study the performance of Jet Pump. The Set-up consists of a Mono-Block Jet Pump coupled with electrical motor, supply tank, measuring tank & pipe fittings for closed loop oil circulation. Pressure and Vacuum Gauges are connected on delivery and suction side of pump for the purpose of measurement. The flow rate of water is measured using measuring tank and stop watch provided.

Jolting Apparatus for Cement Testing - making standard rectangular specimens of 40 x 40 x 160mm. of Portland and pozzolana cement mortar for determining the transverse strength. Specification : The jolting apparatus consists of a rectangular table rigidly connected by two support arms to a spindle at a horizontal distance of 800 mm from the centre of the table. There is a projecting lug with a plane face on the upper face of the table beneath which is a stop with a rounded upper surface. The table can be raised and allowed to fall freely on the stop by a cam which is connected to a motor and gearbox through a V-belt an pulleys. The cam rotates at a rate of 60 Rev/Min. A stroke counter fitted with micro-switch is provided which stops the machine after 60 Jolts. Locating pins are provided for mounting the mould compartments on the table. The mould surmounted by the hopper can be clamped rigidly to the table. Supplied complete with mould and hopper. Suitable for operation on 230 Volts, Single Phase, A.C. Supply. The apparatus consists of a plain steel shaft encased in a bearing and directly driven by a small electric motor. The bearing is freely supported on the shaft and sealed at motor end. The motor speed is precisely controlled by control unit and sealed at motor end. The motor speed is precisely controlled by control unit and can be run in both directions. The bearing contains twelve equispaced pressure tapping around circumference and four along the axis. All are connected by light flexible plastic tube to the manometer so that the pressure head of all sixteen point can be observed at a time.
