Instrumentation and Transducer Trainers

Instrumentation trainers teach how a physical quantity becomes an electrical signal, and what happens to accuracy along the way. Naugra Export manufactures and exports the complete range from Ambala, India, for engineering colleges, polytechnics and industrial training centres worldwide.

Transducer trainers

Temperature transducer trainers covering thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors and IC sensors on a single board so their characteristics can be compared directly. LVDT trainers with seven-segment displacement display, typically 10 mV per mm over a 10 mm range. Strain gauge and load cell trainers with bridge conditioning. Pressure transducer trainers with differential and gauge inputs. Ultrasonic and capacitive level trainers. Water level measurement trainers. Photoelectric, inductive and capacitive proximity sensor kits. Flow, humidity and pH measurement trainers.

Signal conditioning and measurement

Instrumentation amplifier trainers, bridge and amplifier conditioning kits, filter and noise rejection trainers, analogue to digital and digital to analogue conversion trainers, data acquisition trainers with PC interface, and calibration and error analysis apparatus.

Control systems

Overview of PID controller trainers allowing two-position ON/OFF, proportional, PI, PD and PID modes to be applied and compared, DC and AC potentiometric error detector apparatus for open and closed loop position control, lead-lag compensation network trainers, DC position control trainers, servo motor and stepper motor control trainers, and relay control trainers driving electromechanical relays from a PC port.

Process control

Temperature, level, flow and pressure process control trainers with real plant, sensor, controller and final control element, so students tune a loop on hardware rather than in simulation.

What to check before ordering

Confirm the supply voltage and plug type, whether PC interface software is included and which operating systems it supports, and whether the sensor elements are field-replaceable. Sensors are the consumable on these trainers.
