Building Automation Training Equipment

Building Automation Training Equipment and BMS Trainers

Building management systems are one of the few automation skills in demand in every country regardless of manufacturing base, because every commercial building needs them. Building automation training equipment teaches the protocols, wiring and commissioning practice used in real installations.

What the trainers cover

KNX, BACnet and Modbus protocol trainers, lighting control with dimming and scene setting, HVAC control including damper, valve and variable speed drive operation, access control and door interlocks, fire detection and alarm interfacing, blind and shading control, and energy metering with consumption dashboards.

What students learn

Bus topology and device addressing, commissioning software and device configuration, control logic and scene programming, integration between subsystems so that a fire alarm releases doors and stops air handling, energy monitoring and reporting, and fault diagnosis on a bus where one miswired device can affect the whole segment.

Specifying a building automation laboratory

State which protocols are required, the number of student workstations, whether HVAC actuators and dampers must be physically present or simulated, whether energy metering is in scope, and which commissioning software is required with its licence seat count. Protocol choice is the decision that matters most, since it determines what equipment the graduate can commission.
