Competency-based curricula are assessed, not just delivered, and assessment is where most laboratories are weakest. Power supply training and assessment equipment combines the trainer with software that scores a student on wiring accuracy, measurement technique and fault-finding time, producing a record an examiner can audit.
Regulated DC power supply trainers, linear and switch-mode converter benches, uninterruptible power supply trainers with battery management, rectifier, inverter and chopper circuits, protection and earthing trainers, and assessment consoles that log every connection a student makes.
The instructor sets a task and a fault scenario from the console. The system records the circuit the student builds, the measurements taken, the time to diagnose, and whether any unsafe connection was attempted. Results export as a per-student record, which is what an accrediting body asks for and what most laboratories cannot currently produce.
State the number of student stations and whether they must report to a central console, the circuits to be covered, the number of insertable faults, whether the assessment records must export in a particular format, and the software licence seat count. Confirm the electrical supply and residual current protection at the site.
